only 6 months this time ;)

i'm going to london this weekend. with my ladyfriend. and actually with another friend as well. but i thought i'd mention it as i've spoken to charley about meeting up for a drink on saturday.

i blow. i've been too busy to do anything for weeks now, be it here or PR or anything.

in work im snowed under as half the staff are off on holiday and outside of it i'm busy with band stuff, girlfriend stuff and helping friends move house stuff.

i have no time to just sit down on my arse and fuck about on the internet.

speaking of busy, time for dinner then out to band practice straight after.

save me.

i had the week off work. so i made the most of it by drinking copiously, sleeping lots and shagging lorraine stupid.

so all in all it was a damn good week.

in other news, i've refinanced my loan to consolidate all my debts into one chunky payment of 300 a month. no more credit cards. no other debt to my mum (well 200 quid to pay her, but thats gone in no time).

so i now have an almighty laon of 6.5k and therefore total debt of 6.7k. interest boosts it up another grand or two i think. but in 2 and a half years i will be debt free.

which is the important thing.

thing is i know its not a huge amount. theres people out there with debt of 20k that dont worry about it. but it is a large amount to me. and it was something i was worried about. i still am to an extent but at least now i know that its managable. im in a place that i can handle it and that i know it'll be clear in a couple of years.

anwyay, back to the good stuff.

lorraines favourite shop is anne summers. and i must thank the lord above for this shop.

she is constantly buying new underwear for me (well not for me, she wears it but for me. got it? good) and she also bought that chocolate body paint stuff a few weeks ago along with a card that said "thinking of you makes my fanny feel funny". get in :D

anyway, on tuesday night she came to mine after she had been in glasgow for uni. and it turned out she'd done some more shopping.

more funky underwear. me likey.

some durex massage oil/lube stuff. me also likey.

one of those sex cheque books that have random sex acts on them to pass on to your partner to get certain things 'i promise the receiver or this cheque a long slow fuck' and the like.

the pearl necklace one shall be used soon but the watersports one was ripped up right away.

and there was another purchase. but i wont go into that because i havent seen them yet, but she told me what it was. hell yeah.

so yes. things are good.

in other news, our bass player has done in his arm. something to do with his tendons. which isnt good. at least a few weeks off playing. which causes problems obviously. ah well, we'll just have to spend the next few weeks working on some new material for when he comes back.

also, i got myself a new toy. a Boss DD-3 digital delay pedal. for free! jim (bass player guy) seemed to aquire a DD-6 (the newer model) somehow at our last gig. he has no idea how he done it. it looks VERY similar to his tuner pedal and thinks he must of grabbed it accidentally. anyway, this has now been passed on to fuzz the other guitarist who has passed me his old DD-3.

it has already been put to good use at practice on a couple of new tunes and also on some older ones. me likey that too.

well i've got a gig tonight up in paisley at the crow bar. played there the other month and went down well so they asked us back. it'll be fun. they give us loads of free beer too.

i've also got tomorrow off work because im exhausted as it is and i'll be even worse after tonight.

also, my folks go away for the weekend tomorrow morning, so im having a gang bang.

right, theres a lot of you out there that will still be quite up to date with the goings on in my life through general conversation or blogging on PR.

to the others, this is a quick recap for you.

work - still sucks ass, but i enjoy the people i work with and have a laugh. im appreciated by my bosses because i know what im doing. its means to an end. beer tokens.

band - well things are going great with the band, we've headlined the barfly in glasgow recently, and they've asked us back to headline again sometime in june or july. lots more gigs in and around glasgow just building a name for ourselves and its been going very very very well.

and to top it all off, im now in love with a tall hot blonde called lorraine. she's tall and hot and blonde. hell yeah.

she's 21, she's studying to be a primary school teacher and in her third year in uni, she works in the local pub and she's great.

ok, backstory. last summer me and a few friends got to know a few other people and we all became chummy. lorraine was one of the girls in this group. anyway, over the months we all became good friends and that, spent a lot of time with each other. anyway, over time i grew to like her as more than a friend, and so did she with me. in about february, we finally hit it off and we've been going out ever since and its going damn well.

she's currently in a uni plancement up in a place called granton about 200 miles away, she's done 4 weeks out of 6. anyway, i've still managed to see her every weekend that she's been away though, although wont see her until she's back in 2 weeks. but yeah, im happy.

1. i dont think im as good a guitar player as my bandmates think i am

2. i've broken my right ankle 3 times and my left 4. all but one time i tore the ligaments as well. the ligaments make it a lot worse. owie.

3. i've spent over 2 grand on guitars and equipment in the last 5 years.

4. i want to stop smoking, i just dont have the willpower. (ive quit a few times, the longest being about 10 months)

5. im really good at my job and i know it. i do more work than anyone else in there including supervisors even with skiving on PR. if i bothered memorising more legislation i would probably be a supervisor myself by now. i've been working there for 7 years now and know more than people who have been there for 20.

6. i wish i'd given it a go when my band asked me to be the singer, i said no cos i didnt feel i had the charisma to be a frontman. compared to our singer now, i've got more charisma and showmanship in my left testicle than he has. he just doesnt get going. and i still dont like his voice.

best practice i think we've had in a year. everything just seemed to fall into place, we went over 4 or 5 songs of the set and 2 new ones we're wanting to work in as soon as possible and it just worked.

well not too much to report, im back in the old processing team after the restructure and sadly its like i've never been away. i suppose its a good thing since i'm not having any problems with the workload or anything. but its depressing that its twice since last year that i've managed to get out of here only to be dragged back kicking and screaming 7 or 8 months later.

although from what i've been told, the folks in my old department are doing all they can to get a post created for me round there.

as i mentioned in my PR blog somewhere before, the manager for that section has been speaking to the cheif execs that he feels he has been left udnerstaffed and he would have to write a report supporting this with details and such. well a little bird told me (well the girl that is doing the job herself that we used to do together) well anyway she's told me that John the manager has asked her what all her duties are, and then given her more. she said that she would barely be able to do the duties she already has since they were between two of us originally never mind more and john said thats the point.

they want her to struggle with the workload, the more she struggles the more they need more staff. the more they need more staff the more chance they have of getting me back there.

hurrah!

obviously, im not holding my breath about it and i have other possibilites in the pipeline.. but we'll see what happens.
